About Me: Sakina Kalyan

Consultant Psychologist

Sakina is a passionate psychology enthusiast, with vast experience working with individuals and normalizing the value of mental wellbeing. She aims to provide therapeutic coping mechanisms to enhance an individual’s view about themselves and the world around them.
She has graduated with a Bachelors of Social Science with a double major in Psychology and Social Development from the University of Cape Town. Additionally, she is currently completing her Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology at the United Stated International University – Africa.
Through her experience in various organizations, Sakina has vast knowledge and skills when working with teenagers and adults who are experiencing various mental health difficulties and disorders. Sakina is currently a professionally licensed and registered member of the Kenya Association of Professional Counsellors (KAPC).


I offer both online (Zoom) and face-to-face sessions. Prior to our initial session, I will provide an information sheet for you to fill out. This sheet is designed to help me better understand you. Rest assured that all personal information and details you share with me will be held in the strictest confidence.


Individual Session: 60 minutes USD 70

Family Session: 60 minutes USD 140

Bookings and Payments

  • You will need to pay full amount 24Hrs before the session.
  • An appointment will not be booked without the full payment
  • Cancellation is possible and will be refunded if done 24hrs before the session; If done after this period, 50% will be retained
  • Rescheduling is possible and payment can be retained for the next session
  • Payment can be done via M-PESA, Debit and Credit Card, Account, clients name A receipt will be provided for all attended sessions

Other Information

  • What to expect during the first session?
    We will begin with an extensive history taking, this helps me understand your past, present and what you want for your future. This also helps me identify any possible areas that we may need to address in therapy. If a mental health assessment is required, we will do so during this initial session.
  • There will be lots of work you can do outside of therapy, such as worksheets, exercises, resources and other tasks to ensure that you continue to do the work outside the therapy space.
  • Sessions can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly – we can go at your pace inconsideration of what you are comfortable with financially, time wise and your level of comfort in sharing personal information with me.
  • I look forward to working with you to achieve the life you would like to have.
